New Semester update

Friday, January 8, 2021 by Dayvin Sterling | Uncategorized

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!  2021 is finally here!  I was thrilled to see everyone at their lessons last week!  Here are a few updates.

School has started again, and there have been many schedule changes.  Thank you all for being flexible and understanding.  If you need to change lesson times or days, please text me as that is the fastest way to contact me.

January 18th is a holiday, MLK day.  I am still teaching.  If you have a Monday lesson time, and you are not going to attend, PLEASE let me know ASAP.  I will schedule a make up lesson for you.  However if you do not tell me by Friday the 15th, I will not be able to accommodate you.  This is because if I do not hear from you, I will assume you are coming and have to pay for childcare whether you are there or not.  Please understand that you will be forfeiting the cost of the lesson.  If you have questions or want to discuss this, please do.  I am always as accomodating as possible, and I want to provide you with the very best musical experience.

Music Mondays will begin again on January 25th.  If you would like to attend, please sign up through the student portal on the calendar.  The time is TBA.  This is a weekly event, and you can attend and play as many times as you want.  Pieces do not have to be recital ready, and you of course can use your music.  This is a great way to get experience performing.  I would like every student to try to attend at least once.  There are 4 slots available, so if you know that you are only able to attend on a specific Monday, you can go ahead an put your name on that day.  There is no Music Monday during Spring break.  There are also no lessons during Spring break.

Starting in the Fall of 2021, tuition will be calculated a little differently.  I will be charging one rate for every month, and it will cover the cost of the number of lessons you will be offered during that semester.  You can pay the total tuition at one time, or I will break it down to a monthly payment.  It is not much different than what is done now, I just won't have to credit anyone which can be confusing for you and me.
