Name * Email Address * Comments * FAQ's: How frequently are lessons? Typically lessons are once a week. However each student is different in how they learn and sometimes this means that a student may make better progress with two lessons per week. How much do lessons cost? There is no set cost for lessons. At your first half hour lesson, when we get introduced to each other and you can try out the piano and learn a few things to get you started, I will assess what length of lesson will most benefit you. I also make a recommendation on what learning materials will be needed for lessons. What happens at the first lesson? The first lesson is a half hour long. It could be either at my home studio or virtual through zoom. During these 30 miniutes we will introduce ourselves. I will ask some questions to find out a little about you. If you are under 18, your parents are welcome to be there. I you are under age 12, your parents are required to be there. I will also possibly ask your parents some questions. Then, depending on how much musical education you have had, I will ask you to play something for me. If you are starting with no previous education, I will introduce you to the piano and get you started with a song you can learn by memory. I will also play a few musical games with you. How much is the initial lesson? The Initial lesson is $35. Are lessons face to face or virtual? I offer both lessons in person at my home studio and virtually through zoom. What precautions are taken due to COVID at your home studio? All students and parents coming to my home studio are required to use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the studio. They are also required to wear facemasks at all times. There is only one student and parent allowed in the studio at a time. Students do not come to the door until the lesson time. Before and after each student that comes to the studio the piano they will sit at is disinfected and any items that are going to be used in the studio are disinfected. Students who come to the studio are made aware that even though precautions are taken, there is no guarantee that they will not get COVID or any other virus/illness.
